As promised, we’ve launched a new series called APEX: Best Drives that are basically like long-play, ASMR road trips to watch intently or just put on in the background and zone out to. Our third and final film brings us to central Texas and State Highways 335, 336, and 337–better known as the “Twisted Sisters.” Filmmaker Will Schultz takes us out to these great roads in none other than a Dodge Charger Hellcat.
With more than 700 horsepower, a loud supercharger whine, and a big presence there’s little that feels more Texan than anything powered by a Hellcat. With beautiful views of the Balcones Escarpment, the Twisted Sisters aren’t as twisty as some roads, but it’s a nice pairing for the big Dodge.
If you enjoy that, our second film takes you on a high definition ride through the b-roads of Wales with director Neil Carey in his modified Nissan GT-R.
Each film in our three-part series pairs a director, a car, and one of their favorite roads. This first film, below, featured our own JF Musial in a Porsche Panamera GTS driving around Highway 33. Enjoy!
