We film a lot of cars each year and they all leave a lasting impression, but sometimes we’re so caught up with the job at hand that we don’t have time to appreciate appreciate the controlled fury that supercars are.
Our third in this series features the revolutionary Porsche 959. Its 2.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six was a marvel in its day and represents a shift in extreme road cars. Prior to the 959, most halo cars focused on the combination of power and aero to force a car around a track. Not the 959. The car’s programmable four-wheel-drive system delighted critics of the era and gave the driver control largely unseen with anything putting out north of 300 horsepower.
Enjoy the raw footage from our archives. No music or voiceover. Just the cars as themselves doing the very thing that made us all fall in love with them in the first place. Below you’ll find the first two cars in our series, Corvette ZR1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder
