A rare Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf is for sale

If I’m being entirely honest I forgot that Aston Martin made the Lagonda Taraf, which means ‘ultimate luxury’ in Arabic, as a flagship sedan for the brand. A sort of Bentley Flying Spur for people who couldn’t fit in their Rapides.

If you’re in the United Kingdom, Aston Martin specialists Nicholas Mee & Co have picked one up and are now offering it for sale. Here’s some detail from the sale:

Aston Martin’s initial intention with the Taraf was to solely serve the Middle Eastern market, but such was the VIP customers’ enthusiastic reception in Geneva that the company decided to make it available worldwide. At launch, it was priced at $1million in North America and €1million in Europe. All prices excluded local taxes and duties. Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd assured potential customers that the new car would be limited in production; no more than 200 would be made. In the event, most sources state fewer than half that number were built and sold.

It’s slightly odd that no one seems to know how many exactly were built, but if you want a car that’ll make someone’s Dawn look like a Ford Fiesta this might be for you. The video below shows some of the interesting touches on the car.
